For over 30 years, CDS Group's focus on niche accounting systems has led us into various industries and a wide base of customer types. Our systems and core accounting code processes billions of dollars in transactions annually, touches hundreds of thousands of end-customers, and handles millions of product lines, process types, and business methodologies. From accounting to inventory control, logistics to delivery, marketing and sales to customer service, CDS Group has a proud, long, and rich history of building customer centric accounting systems that fully automate a company's entire business.
Unlike most companies in our industry, CDS Group's focus is on what makes our customers different and better—the things that they do to lead their sector of their market, whatever that may be. It's true that there are a lot of options out there for accounting and process automation, and 99% of them focus on automating the things that every company needs. Unfortunately, none of these systems focus on the things that are different—the things that companies do differently than their competitors, and it's these things that yield their market-leadership position. CDS Group is proud of our customers' success as they each build and maintain a comfortable market-leadership position, and we understand that is these key differentiators that gain and protect that leadership.
Before 2010, we typically approached these customers and markets with core-code libraries that we had already built in-house because—simply put—no other company had an accounting system code-base that offered the flexibility, openness, and integrity that allowed CDS Group's Engineers and Analysts to maximize our customers' business processes. From the perspective of CDS Group, the ubiquitous "Accounting System" is a starting point in the discussion of maximization of assets, efficiencies, process control or quality management, whether in our older systems running on the IBM AS/400 Midrange systems or the advanced Windows-based inventory and accounting systems of the past couple of years.
Throughout the 80's, 90's and even the past decade, we've longed for a Core Accounting system that provided the canvas for us to really focus on building a true best-practices-focused, highly leverage-able, and sophisticated modularized code-base that allowed our niche oriented automation expertise to come through. We realized long ago that the system we really needed had to provide the flexibility and foresight to work with both the current environment and processes, yet be cognizant of future changes in process, procedure, technology, methodologies, geospatial, and quality control and management. It needed to flex its muscle today, and maintain a healthy foundation for the future as well. Taking upgrades with ease, while supporting the intricate details of a totally maximized business.
We looked very deeply into the new NAV release and realized that, for the very first time, someone had created that canvas for us to work with. We can now take our vertical niche expertise, build our Edge Process Automation solutions into a dynamic, flexible, and fully tailored solution that achieves the same level of 100% business automation, metrics measurement, and process improvement that we used to get out of our fully custom solutions. NAV offers us multi-lingual, multi-currency, multi-platform, and highly leveragable web-service systems, and it's from one of the largest companies in the world—Microsoft.
This means that our customers get the power of complete customization without threatening their future upgrade path. It means that we can integrate all kinds of inter-platform solutions—from traditional Windows clients to web-apps, mobility solutions, and complete legacy systems integration—with a never-before-seen ease of use, cost effectiveness, and expansion capability.
In brief—NAV 2010 brings CDS Group into our 4th decade of the accounting software business, and shines for our customers as the most solid, flexible, and future-ready foundation we've ever built upon. Having a solid platform from one of the largest companies in the world allows CDS Group's 30+ years of experience to really focus on what really makes the difference for our customers: the automation, measurement, improvement and digitization of their key competitive differentiators.
So, as we push into 2010 and beyond, I am personally excited to be able to further focus on what we're really good at—making exponential gains for our customers. This shift really assists us in expanding what we can do, how fast we can do it, and the success factors that we're always looking to achieve for our customer projects. It also means we're more tightly integrated with Microsoft, and that means our customers will have even more support with a completely single-vendor solution that fully delivers on our philosophy of sameness, simplicity, and scale.
